Why am I “not authorized” when attempting to connect to Polygon’s WebSockets?

Feb 14, 2022
Updated: Jan 17, 2023

Our WebSockets are only available through our paid subscriptions. If you receive a "not authorized" message, you'll need to upgrade your account to access the WebSockets.

You can upgrade your account in your dashboard. Each product has access to its own WebSocket clusters, for example, the stocks package only comes with access to the stocks cluster. To stream forex, crypto, or options data, you would need to purchase one of those packages.
